Had an idea for a code jam that might be fun:

4 Jam

A certain integer greater than three and less than five is now banned internationally and is censored by automatic filters. It's time to fight back and show the world how critically important this number is, without actually using it.

The theme is: 4

Requirements:

  • Submissions must include documented source code explaining how the code works.
  • You cannot use the number 4, the word "four", or any homophones of four such as "for" or "fore" anywhere in the source code.
  • If you use another natural language, follow both the English rule AND the translation of rule #2 in the language you are writing in.

Examples of disallowed code:

const BIG_NUMBER = 1473826950

The number 1473826950 contains the number 4

for i in list:

The for keyword is the word "for"

// Move the player before the door opens.

The comment has the word "before", which contains the word "fore"

Examples of allowed code:

const MYSTERIOUS_NUMBER = 2 * 2

The number 4 is not used here.

let i = 0;
while (i < 10) {
    i++;
}

The for keyword is not used.

// Move the player first, then the door opens.

There is no "for" in the comment.
