Seitan
A vegan, traditional Asian ingredient often used as a meat replacement. 1
Recipe 1
Dry:
- 2 1/4 cups vital wheat gluten flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 tablespoons nutritional yeast
Wet:
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoons liquid smoke
Instructions:
- Mix dry ingredients
- Mix wet ingredients
- Mix wet ingredients into the dry ingredients slowly
- Knead dough for 2 minutes
- Let dough rest for 15 minutes
- Cut the dough into small pieces
- Boil in water for 30 minutes
